Finding a Bassoon Teacher

If you’re trying to find a good bassoon teacher for yourself or your child, it can be hard to know where to start!

One great option is to reach out to the bassoon faculty at your local college or university. Even if they aren’t taking new students, they often know other bassoon teachers in the area and can point you in the right direction.

Another great resource is the Facebook group Bassoonists United. There are lots of helpful bassoonists in the group, and it’s a great place to ask for teacher recommendations—especially if you’re looking for someone in a particular area.

Don’t be afraid to ask around! The bassoon world is a pretty small community, and bassoonists are usually happy to help connect students with a good teacher.
